Before you order
- Confirm your bulb size and factory headlight package.
- Some vehicles may require CANBUS or anti-flicker modules.
- Some LED/HID upgrades may be intended for off-road, show, auxiliary, or permitted-use applications only. Check local laws before using upgraded forward lighting on public roads.

Morimoto 2Stroke 4.0
LED output built around beam control.
The 2Stroke 4.0 is designed to upgrade halogen forward lighting while keeping the beam pattern focused, controlled, and useful where it matters most.
Why the 2Stroke 4.0 exists
More usable light, less wasted glare
Morimoto built the 2Stroke 4.0 to solve the biggest problem with many LED replacement bulbs: uncontrolled light. Instead of chasing raw brightness alone, the 2Stroke 4.0 focuses on optical placement, beam shape, thermal control, and long-term reliability.
Beam pattern first
Designed to work with the housing
The 2Stroke 4.0 is engineered to recreate the original halogen optical pattern more accurately, helping put light down the road while reducing uncontrolled glare compared with generic LED bulbs.
Why this matters: A brighter bulb only helps when the headlight housing can control the light. Cleaner beam shape means more usable output without scattering light everywhere.
Optical control
Controlled around the focal point
Reflector and projector housings depend on precise light placement. The 2Stroke 4.0 uses carefully positioned emitters to better match the focal point of the original halogen filament.
BRI Source note: This is why housing type matters. A reflector low beam, projector low beam, fog lamp, and high beam can all react differently to the same bulb size.
Emitter placement
A compact light source for cleaner focus
The 2Stroke 4.0 uses a slim 1.45mm emission surface to keep the light source tight and controlled. That helps the housing shape the beam instead of fighting against a bulky or poorly placed LED source.
Housing note: These bulbs are built for halogen reflector, halogen projector, fog, and forward-lighting positions that benefit from tight optical control.
Adjustable Mounting
Clock the bulb for the right orientation
The 2Stroke 4.0 includes an adjustable mounting collar so the LED chips can be aligned properly in the housing. Proper orientation is especially important when the original bulb installs at an angle.
Install tip: Always check bulb orientation after installation. Correct clocking helps preserve beam shape and reduces the chance of odd shadows or scattered output.
DRL compatibility
Designed to dim correctly for DRL use
Many vehicles use the high beam bulb at reduced power as a daytime running light. The 2Stroke 4.0 is designed for controlled DRL operation so the bulb can dim properly when the vehicle calls for a lower-intensity DRL signal.
Why this matters: On high-beam DRL vehicles, proper dimming helps avoid excessive daytime glare and keeps the lighting behavior closer to the factory setup. Some vehicles may still require anti-flicker or decoder modules depending on how the DRL circuit is controlled.
Emitter layout
Small details, big output difference
The emitter layout is built to keep the light source tight and repeatable. This helps the headlight or fog light housing shape output more like the original halogen bulb it was designed around.
Output note: Beam pattern, housing condition, lens clarity, and vehicle voltage can all affect final output. Results can vary by application.
Built as a system
Thermal control, sealing, and serviceability
The 2Stroke 4.0 platform is built as more than just an LED chip on a base. Housing, seals, thermal path, and electronic components all work together to support consistent performance.
BRI Source note: Good LED bulbs are about more than lumen claims. Thermal stability and optical control are what help the bulb perform after the first few minutes of use.
Warranty support
Lifetime warranty
Morimoto 2Stroke 4.0 bulbs are backed by Morimoto's limited lifetime warranty, giving you long-term support beyond the initial install. Warranty eligibility, coverage, and final approval are based on Morimoto's current manufacturer warranty terms.
When you purchase from BRI Source, we can help start the warranty process and connect your order information with the manufacturer if support is needed. Keep your order details and photos or video of the issue available for the fastest review.
Before you order
Confirm your vehicle setup first
For best results, confirm your bulb size, housing style, and factory headlight package before ordering. Some vehicles may require CANBUS or anti-flicker modules, and some upgraded LED or HID forward-lighting products may be intended for off-road, show, auxiliary, or permitted-use applications only depending on local laws.
Use the Shop by Vehicle tool or contact BRI Source support for setup help before ordering.
