Shipping, delivery, and package claims

This policy explains how BRI Source ships orders, how processing times work, what free shipping includes, and what to do if a package is delayed, damaged, lost, or shipped internationally.

Carrier note: Some orders may ship by UPS, FedEx, USPS, or another available carrier depending on product, warehouse, brand, package size, shipping address, and service availability. If your order specifically requires USPS or another carrier, contact BRI Source before ordering or immediately after placing the order.

Shipping times shown at checkout are estimates unless clearly stated otherwise. Processing time and carrier transit time are separate.

Typical processing

1-3 business days

Most orders ship within 1-2 business days, but please allow up to 3 business days unless the product page states otherwise.

Lower 48

Free shipping $49+

Eligible orders $49 and up ship free to the contiguous lower 48 U.S. states. Some oversized or heavy items may be excluded.

Multiple warehouses

Split shipments happen

Multiple-item orders may ship in separate packages from BRI Source, suppliers, distributors, or fulfillment partners.

Order preparation time

When orders ship

BRI Source typically ships orders within 3 business days, and most orders ship within 1-2 business days. Overnight, expedited, and 2-day orders typically ship the same or following business day when the item is available and the order is placed before fulfillment cutoff, excluding weekends and holidays.

  • Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and carrier closures.
  • Processing time may be longer for international orders, supplier-shipped items, special-order items, backorders, fraud review, address verification, or product availability issues.
  • Choosing an expedited shipping service speeds up transit after shipment; it does not always remove order processing time.
  • If an item is delayed beyond the expected processing window, BRI Source will make a reasonable effort to notify you and provide available options.

Shipping-delay compliance: If we cannot ship within the advertised timeframe, or within 30 days when no timeframe is stated, we will provide delay notice and cancellation/refund options where required by applicable law.

Inventory and availability

Stock, supplier shipments, and backorders

Due to brand availability, supplier inventory, warehouse location, and product demand, some products may not be available to ship immediately or may become backordered after an order is placed.

  • BRI Source may ship from multiple locations, including BRI Source inventory, supplier warehouses, distributors, or fulfillment partners.
  • Some brands or products may not ship to certain countries, regions, PO boxes, military addresses, forwarding addresses, or restricted locations.
  • If checkout does not show a shipping option, review the product page for shipping limitations or contact BRI Source before ordering.
  • OSRAM and Philips Xenon bulbs may ship from Europe or specialty supplier locations and may require additional transit time, sometimes up to 14 days or more for standard/free shipping options.

PO boxes, APO/FPO, and military addresses Available services depend on carrier and product restrictions. Some products, suppliers, or carriers may not support these addresses. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure.

Free shipping: Free shipping is not a guaranteed carrier, speed, or delivery date. BRI Source may choose UPS, USPS, FedEx, or another suitable service for eligible free-shipping orders.

Address accuracy

Address changes, refused packages, and returned shipments

Please enter a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address at checkout. Shipping labels may be created quickly, and address changes are not always possible once an order has been processed, packed, or handed to a carrier or supplier.

  • If you need an address change, contact BRI Source immediately after placing the order. We cannot guarantee changes after fulfillment has started.
  • Orders returned because of an incorrect address, incomplete address, refused delivery, unclaimed package, unpaid duties, or failed delivery attempts may be subject to return shipping charges, carrier fees, restocking fees, or reshipment charges.
  • Shipping charges are generally non-refundable once an order has shipped, unless BRI Source caused the shipping error or a refund is required by applicable law.
  • Expedited shipping fees cover the carrier service selected after shipment and do not guarantee same-day order processing unless expressly stated.
International shipping

International orders, customs, and duties

International orders may require additional processing time, often up to 5 business days before shipment. Shipping options, tracking, and delivery estimates vary by country, carrier, brand, and product.

  • International shipping rates are live calculated where available and may vary based on product, brand, destination, weight, dimensions, and carrier.
  • Economy or basic international services may have limited tracking and may take 30 days or more to arrive.
  • Delivery estimates shown at checkout can be affected by customs processing, local delivery partners, holidays, and regional carrier delays.
  • Customs duties, VAT, import taxes, brokerage fees, handling fees, clearance fees, and any other import charges are the customer's responsibility.
  • BRI Source does not control customs decisions, duty/tax amounts, brokerage fees, or whether a product is allowed to import into your country.

EU VAT and international import responsibility: Buyers outside the United States are responsible for any VAT, customs, clearance, brokerage, or duty fees required before a carrier releases the package.

Forwarding addresses

Freight forwarders and package forwarding

If you ship to a freight forwarder, package forwarding service, hotel, mail center, shared mailbox, commercial receiving location, or similar third-party address, BRI Source is responsible only for shipping to the address entered at checkout.

  • BRI Source is not responsible for loss, damage, theft, customs issues, delays, returns, misdelivery, or address problems after delivery to the forwarding or receiving address.
  • International forwarding addresses hold no liability outside the original U.S.-based delivery address.
  • We may cancel orders shipping to forwarding addresses or addresses associated with repeated loss, delivery issues, or suspected fraud.
Shipping damage

What to do if a package arrives damaged

Inspect all packages and products as soon as they arrive, even if the outside packaging looks acceptable. Keep all packaging materials until the issue is fully resolved.

  • Take clear photos of the outside box, shipping label, packing materials, damaged packaging, and damaged product.
  • If damage is visible at delivery and a signature is required, note the damage with the carrier before signing or refuse the package if appropriate.
  • Contact BRI Source within 48 hours of delivery for damage-related issues whenever possible.
  • Carrier claims may require photos, packaging, inspection, receipts, serial numbers, or other documentation.
  • BRI Source will assist with carrier or supplier claim steps where possible, but carrier claim outcomes and timelines are controlled by the carrier or supplier.

Do not discard packaging: If packaging is thrown away before the claim is reviewed, the carrier or supplier may deny the claim.

Lost or delivered-not-received packages

Lost package process

If tracking shows delivered but you did not receive the package, contact BRI Source within 21 days of the marked delivery date so we can review next steps and, when available, start a carrier tracer or claim process.

Before contacting us

Check nearby doors, mailrooms, package lockers, household members, neighbors, business receiving desks, and carrier delivery photos or proof-of-delivery details.

Carrier investigation

Replacement or refund decisions may need to wait until the carrier completes its tracer, claim, or investigation process. Timelines vary by carrier and destination.

UPS and FedEx investigations may take several business days. USPS and international claims can take significantly longer, sometimes 30 to 90 business days depending on destination, service, and carrier rules.

Delivered scans: BRI Source does not guarantee replacement or refund for packages marked delivered until the carrier investigation, proof-of-delivery review, or claim process supports that outcome.

Signature and delivery security

Signature service and safe delivery

BRI Source generally does not require signature delivery unless you request it, the carrier requires it, the order value or risk review requires it, or the product/supplier requires it. If you want signature service, contact us before ordering or immediately after placing the order.

  • If signature is required and you are not available, contact the carrier to schedule pickup or redelivery.
  • Customers are responsible for providing a safe, complete, and deliverable address.
  • BRI Source is not responsible for theft after delivery, unattended packages, weather exposure after delivery, or packages delivered to an incorrect address supplied by the customer.
Fraud review

Fraudulent or high-risk orders

BRI Source may cancel, refund, hold, or request additional information for any order flagged as potentially fraudulent, high risk, incomplete, suspicious, or otherwise requiring verification.

  • We may request additional information to verify the buyer, shipping address, billing details, or payment authorization.
  • Orders may be canceled if verification is not completed, if risk remains too high, or if the order appears to violate our policies.
  • We may limit or refuse orders placed by dealers, resellers, freight forwarders, or accounts associated with repeated shipping or payment issues.
